“IMPORTANT”
Just like that…caps & all. Now, unless I know exactly who you are and have some idea of what might be so important, this email is going straight to the 'trash'. Anyone who knows each other will know better than to waste time on crap. Legitimate emails are all important in one way or another.

I'll tell you what too…depending on what mood you caught me in, you might even get placed on my 'blocked senders' list by sending something like that. Save the drama and just indicate what's so important. Making people guess is a sure-fire way to lose the audience.

My personal favourite traffic estimation website is http://www.estimix.com . It seems to use the Alexa traffic information quite well and generates very accurate traffic information

Excellent post, Howard. My Facebook friends complained continually about my twitter crossovers. Finally I broke the link. It’s seductive to try and save keystrokes by having the 2 environments talk… but that’s just a siren… Not something to do.

Net net, my activity has dropped off… but I’m still trying to develop a personal social media strategy that makes sense.

Agreed that the Q & A are one of the best parts of LinkedIn. I’ve definitely spent alot of time in that area of the website and that’s something I’ll never get from Facebook. I find the ‘people you may know’ feature to be pretty useless, the logic doesn’t seem to be consistent and it’s pretty buggy. Doesn’t seem to distinguish the value between people that I share one contact with or 20. But, maybe I haven’t looked at it closely enough. Once LinkedIn starts letting people post pictures, I’m out

Music created by computer is not by definition bad – the computer is a tool, and what we need are better algorithmic composition tools to use its power. As a comment on the ‘piano inside my head’ title, by the way, I find the piano is more ‘inside my fingers’ – I often find my fingers moving to create imaginary pieces that are ever-present, subliminally.

I am currently looking for an invite to grand central. The reason for this is due to all the dogs who are homeless or are getting put down. We work with many rescue groups. We also hold and help with lots of fundraisers to help the hounds. 100% of all funds raised goes to get dogs off death row. We as a group feel that this software with grand central will help bring in more calls to help.

If people have the phone number explicitly blocked and private, it can be very difficult. (Unless of course you are in a spy thriller movie.) Another simple option is to call the number and ask!

I am looking for a way to look up and find out who a cell phone number belongs to. I’ve tried everything on the internet from reverse phone number, criss cross, etc. only to find out that the number is unpublished and unavailable. I really do not want to pay a fee. Thanks!

I don’t know what’s worse…my job where we had five weeks advance notice that we’d lose 10% of our workforce or yours where you were laid off without warning.

Funny WWWC story…10 years ago I was a fledgling web designer looking for work. (Self taught…went to school for Radio/TV. Which got me far. But I digress.) I applied at WWWC and had a telephone interview with RS where he offered me a job. As his secretary.

I politely declined and got my job at the Courier-Post later that year.

You will land on your feet stronger than ever. Let’s hope it’s sooner rather than later, though.

Even with a little experience, your time was so informative, revealing secrets of the interwoven services… how Twitter Searches are conducted… and how they can be added to feeds visa Google Reader… how Twitter conversations take place… the importance of Linkedin to Google rank… more depth on using Google Analytics to guage how folks are using your website.
